well.... i've not got any (thats a definite) but it might help to say what axle you're using.

carlknight1982 - 1/4/08 at 07:12 PM

thats a good point, its a sierra disc braked setup

blakep82 - 1/4/08 at 07:16 PM

see, coz as you say its a ron champion chassis where it says 'building:' i'd have assumed english axle with disc conversion

LBMEFM - 1/4/08 at 07:33 PM

Do you need to fit disc back plates. I havn't?

Mole - 1/4/08 at 08:55 PM

I'm not sure anyones used them. Excess weight tends to be the typical response.

i'll have a live axle with discs on the back, i won't have any back plates

carlknight1982 - 2/4/08 at 03:54 AM

for some reason i had gotten it into my head that i would need them for the SVA

if i dont then they go in the bin

^ if someone's able to get their finger caught between the caliper and disc when the car's moving, they've got bigger problems to worry about

If you've fitted discs to an english axle you will need spacer plates (which take over the job of the drum backing plate) these can be bought or just cut out the shape required from your old drum back plates.
