As can be seen in my other thread re new exhaust manifold, I think I have fried my lambda sensor where it touched the live feed to the starter motor.
Anyway, it's now got holes in the metal casing, so I think at best I'm going to have exhaust fumes coming out.
Anyone got, or know a source (locost: D) of reliable lambda sensors. My engine was from a 2001 Rover 25 1.4 k series,m if that helps.
I've seen a s/h one on ebay, but for a bit more there are "universal" ones available which will allegedly fit. Anyone used these? I
looked on a Rover forum and it seems that the universal ones may not be ideal for all cars. See
here, but the guy is selling loads,
apparently for all different types of car.
Thanks in advance
Simon
I have some genuine Rover ones.
U2U sent.
Cheers.
Steve
NB If you are using Rover MEMS the sensor has to be to be to Rover spec --- universal ones won't the read out the correct values to pass the
sanity test that MEMS runs through durring warm up.
The Gendan site has loads of this type of info
