Small piece of ali bar

Hi,

I'm after a short piece of ali round bar (~2 inches) that I can turn machine into a hose joiner, 20mm at one end and 16mm at the other so must be at least 20mm diameter. Anyone got anything like that kicking around?

why dont you try a plumbing merchants they will probably stock something like that

That is the other thought that I'd had

But I like making things on the lathe, just can't find any material

Try a non-ferrous metal stockholder if there's one near you. I got a 24" length of 2in dia ali bar for a tenner the other day for another project.
