scoop - 16/6/08 at 12:24 PM

Need a couple of 12mm with a 1.25 pitch which i think is a metric fine. Cant get them locally. They are for a maxi balljoint and im told are an odd size. Any one help?
Cheers
Steve

why not use nylocks?

Its a long story and has to do with my thread on matching the maxi balljoint to the sierra upright.
Im amazed that i havent seen anyone else having problems with this. Its a case that my engineer is being fussy with the tolerences involved and would be happier to to thin down a castle nut rather than a nylock.

these are usually fine threads, halfway down the list

Nylocs are the norn and are never none to cause problems in this type of application provided at least a couple of full threads show clear of the nut when tightened.

He wont have it.(nylocks that is)
He's going to make me a couple tomorrow and i should have it all back by the afternoon.
There is no doubting his knowledge and experience and i would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone. He used to make parts for Prost F1 team and was heavily involved in the microlites
So, problem solved.
Cheers.
