It may seem daft to many, but what sumps would fit a 1.8 CVH sierra engine.
I can see on ebay adds for the 1.4 and 1.6 escort CVH engine, assuming, as they are mark 3 and 4 that meant for a transverse engine. The pattern on
the side of the sump suggests they would not fit the 1.8 CVH.
I guess that as CVH will fit on to Zetec. So Zetec would fit CVH, but after a steel sump to be modified.
Can anyone help.
Cheers
Adrian
There's a few 1.8 CVH sumps been up in the last couple of days...
Yes, I thought to my self I have one so no need. How wrong I can be.
Trying to source a new one and not finding any adverts that say 1.8 Sierra CVH and do not have the knowledge on what fits what in the ford series.

Sorry your having problems with the sump. Is the fiesta 1.6 cvh sump the same? As these people do a new one

Have posted a question on the seirra forum as to what fits what.

I only have one comment, Bummer!
I will have to try more cutting and rebuilding, some time when I get my patience back with it.
I have asked in a few areas so will wait to see what feedback I receive.

On the basis that a 1.8CVH sump fits a zetec then a Zetec sump should fit a CVH.
The blacktop Zetecs have a 2 part sump where the lower part is steel and dead easy to chop down. I did my own with my cheap Clarke mig and it works
fine. I also chopped my CVH sump and found the Zetec one easier to do.
