I am sorting out a baffle for this engine, but I need a tulip or a drawing of one.
Beer Tokens await!

If no one beats me to it I'll send you the details of mine when I get home this afternoon (should have been delivered yesterday).

ps. Claire, that's a lovely picture of a tulip, has your 3 year old daughter thought about submitting it to Blue Peter?

Hi Nitram,

To be honest you do not need it. Its just another potential item to disintegrate and cause problems in your engine.

I run with just a baffle plate and have had no issues with oil surge (I'm an RGB racer) and have datalogs of oil pressure at most UK tracks to prove it.

Why do you need one.

To allow the PRV to locate properly it will need to be made of fairly thin metal. You could use a large capacitor body with one end cut off.

I second what Paul and Jim said.

The tulip (from allbikes) originally fitted to my 5PW engine was starting to break up and I found a chunk of it in the oil pick up strainer - better there than somewhere else in the engine.

And what better real world tests can you have to prove you don't need one than an engine thats run a couple of seasons (or more?) around a load of UK circuits under race conditions with the oil pressure data logs to back it up.

IIRC the allbikes one was made from something weird as well like a enamel paint pot thinned down? Or a lid to something...

I am asking because I am producing the plates (cnc) for sale and some people may ask for them.
I think that £83 +£4.75 P&P is a bit excessive from some suppliers LINK TO FLUKEMOTORSPORT ON EBAY!!!!
I like the idea of NOT providing them, very much
I will also be doing them for £30 including p & p

Thanks for your advice!

Interesting advice there from everyone, and certainly agree with you about the price - not what I'd call value for money.

If you still want the dimensions then here they are (not quite to scale):

Thanks for that sickbag.
I might make it an option......for those who insist on having one.
If it is good enough for an rgb racer to run without, I personally would leave it out.

I have an allbikes one which I won't use, you can have it

Cheers
