Does anyone know where i can get a dipstick for a 2.0 Zetec black top, mine is broke and scrap yard wont sell one without the engine- £200 for a
dipstick is a bit steep.
I need one too, plastic bit broke just above the tube. Fords are silly money, so interested in any responses.
Try the local Ford dealer. I have always found them more reasonable than expected for parts.
Raceline quote £17 on their website for a dipstick and dipstick tube

Make one out of some pipe from B&Q. I take it it's just the outside tube? Solder a new one on

No its the dipstick that broke - the plastic part which holds the seal on is buggereried.
got one from a 1.8 if its any good to u
I bougt some mouldable plastic from flea bay which u may be able to use to effect a repaire check it out Polymorph place in boiling water it softens and can be moulded sets hard when cool. So iif its just the platic bit u may be able to repair it

The dipstick on my old engine broke in the same place, I made a new handle from a bit of ally bar and riveted it on.
