Rear Diffuser Fitted
spdpug98 - 19/3/11 at 03:31 PM

After having my diffuser sitting in the garage since the Autosport Show, I finally decided to get my butt into gear and get it fitted (I’m sure the sunny weather influenced my decision!)

That would be why it fits your car perfectly!!

How has it been fixed on?

It is fixed with a metal strip along the front leading edge (riveted to the floor) and I have secured the rear in the wheel arch with 1 bolt through the side panel....hopefully that makes sense

It starts at the end of the floor through to the back of the car, the whole floor is now flat (exc engine bay area)

I doubt it will actually make any differance to the car but I really like it

Looks great! I have one in the garage also. Could you post some pics of how you fixed it to the car? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you can see from the picture, I have drilled and bolted the rear lip through the bodywork and you can just about see the strip of ali on the front leading edge that I have riveted through the floor - it all seems secure and solid but may put another fixing through the body

Thats great. Thanks for doing that. I might change the alloy strip for a couple of hinges so removing the side bolts will allow the diffuser to drop incase access is needed to the diff etc.

Good idea - maybe a mod for me in the future too

Hi, fitted mine at the weekend (at last).

rivetted the ali strip to the floorpan, then the diffuser slips into
the gap between the ali strip & floorpan. Diffuser held up at the
back by 4 bolts through the diffuser into rivnuts in the bottom lip
of the back panel. Just remove the bolts to remove it.
Mine is also higher up, as it it fitted around the back panel
rather than under it.
Will try to remember to take pics......
