Right then, I've got on about it a lot, cried about it a bit and thought to myself "why was the roll bar welded JUST THERE!!"

Some of you have asked about it so here it is. It shows the right knacker I made trimming the body and the struggle I had fitting it. You see, this is a one man build and I could have just done with another pair of hands then... oh, and lifting off the trestles

This one shows the outside of the roll bar cuts half way through the top roll of the body....

So thats what makes me sad BUT I must point out it was my rubbish control of the Dremel and I don't wish to blame MNR or anyone else for my mistakes. I made a much better job of the other side....

haven't seen any of your posts so i don't know the story.

I can appreciate why you're feeling 'annoyed' but, put some u-trim on it and no one but you will notice it. Honestly, who's going to spot something that small on a car that big???

My job didn't work 100% but covered with some rubber edging and it looked far better

If you are fitting a rear panel that may cover up some of the hole. Also some U trim and a bit of T-cut will make it look miles better

Edit to add. Your harness eye bolts look a bit out. I used some PTFE tape on the thread and you can get them bang on

It's delicate jobs like these that really do need an extra pair of hands. Don't be too disheartened, I'm sure it'll look fine with some edge trim on it.

Console yourself that there are people like this out there to fix it one day - in actual fact there was a specialist firm at Stoneleigh but I'm damned if I can remember their name!

your always your own worst critic when it comes to mistakes, others generally dont notice the faults you think are bad.

you can repair that pretty easily , rough out the cracked area and reload with gel wet and dry and buff, virtually an invisible repair as long as you dont add to much cataylst as this will make red orange ( dont ask me how i know )

That’s so easy to fix that crack, quickest way would be to rub some coloured car polish into it or a wax crayon and buff it with a cloth. Or grind it out and brush on some gel coat (the manufacture will be able to post some to you no doubt), you can grind, sand and polish gel coat as easy as can be, it one of the advantages of using that finish. Personally I think the panel looks just fine with that notch and wouldn’t bother me one bit.
