Workshop injuries
Daimo_45 - 17/1/09 at 03:18 PM

I know people like to post their cool workshop injuries and as I'm bored with two weeks off with this one (not workshop related) I thought I would share. A pathetic mustard jar shattered in my hand when I tried to open it resulting in one hour of surgery sewing the torn muscle back together, an overnight stay in hospital on MY BIRTHDAY, ON MY HOLIDAY and a 1500 Euro bill.

Nice....! I bet that hurts a bit!? Did the mustard sting?

hobbsy - 17/1/09 at 03:27 PM

OW!

You're gonna have a cool scar!

Never liked mustard much myself

TBH it's been the most painless injury I've ever had. Didn't hurt a bit when I cut it and hasn't ached or hurt since the op unless I poke it.

Was the person who did the stitches fully sighted?

Why? English nurse said they were very tidy.

culinare electric jar opener, mrs bob has just informed me this is what you need.I wasnt convinced but i must admit it opens the most stubborn of jars and has not failed yet.

But on garage injuries a few of us remember marcus and this horrific garage moment.

Jeez guys.

My injury feels distinctly amateurish now.

That fact that there was bone showing seems almost irrelevant.

My poor sore toe.

poor sore toe
poor sore toe

I've learned my lesson now.
When using a treadle guillotine don't have one foot on the bar and one underneath.

I had to pay upfront but it's being recouped through my insurance.

I once stuck one of these through (so it came out the other side) my hand and then pulled it out!

Didn't hurt either apart from if I poked it.
