Hi all.
Recently got hold of a ERA shortened sump to go on my silver top. However need a shortened oil pick up pipe. Having at least two stock ones to hand,
can anybody provide some guidance/ pictures/ dimensions of pipes that they have modified for there shortened sumps.
Did you get the baffle plate as well
I chopped the zetec pipe and welded a pinto strainer on the end. Make sure the strainer does not hit the bottom of the sump. You need a bit of clearance to allow it to suck the oil up. Had to do mine twice to get it right.

I bought an era sump with the plans to fit it on my Zetec but changed my mind and went dry sump. The filter/pick up/strainer as supplied by ERA is only 3/4" deep and say 4" across and era adviced that it should be within 10mm. The strainer was produced by era. You just need to cut and shut the pipe to fit as it is very difficult to bend.
any good might be worth a call

I beleive because of oil surge, You need the baffle bolted on. Where abouts in scunthorpe are you? I have a spare plate that I did not use that you can have.
Thanks for the help so far guys. Looking at Era oil pick up I'll see how I get on, might end up going here.
