WANTED. PDA/Smartphone/Laptop??
I have just bought a marvellous piece of kit (OBDKey For those who are interested) and it has highlighted the
rubbishness of my aged crumbly laptop. The battery has long since gone to sleep, it has naff-all memory and is as slow as a fat kid running through
porridge.
So, I'm after a replacement! The OBDkey can use a PDA or a Smartphone, whatever the heck they are, a normal PC or a Laptop.
My moby is due for replacement due to it's ability to switch itself off, freeze, lose it's memory and fall to pieces so a smartphone could
be the answer.
The lappy could do with replacing due to the aforementioned reasons. Or a PDA could do a bit of everything!!
So, has anyone got any advice or even a bit of kit that could do the job for me?? As this is Locostbuilders and I'm a Yorkshireman, price is an
issue so no inks to "PriceyPDASmartPhoneLaptop-R-Us"

I have got my old PDA for sale at the moment. It is a HP Ipaq h2210. It is in immaculate condition, and comes with all the original accessories
(charger, docking station, case, USB cable).
You can have it for £30 plus a beer for postage..

I would suggest a pda over a smartphone, I have a quite recent xda (an htc with o2 branding) and its cack, turns itself off all the time, takes ages
to open any application and is generally awful. Thats just been my experience though. What does the softweare do then?

I'll let you know when I've had a better play! It does all sorts of real-time info stuff. Lets you see the ECU input values so you can
interrogate the sensors. You can see what the O2 sensors are doing and the fuel trim etc. It also lets you do power runs and 0-60 times!!
