workshop space (again)

i just had my new workshop lined up and ready to move into after easter.

the owner has just called to let me know that the buildings are being taken down in the begining of may!

it really isn't worth me moving only to be stuck again in a few weeks. the propblem is that the build has hit the point where i cant go any further without the space.

in the ebsence of a fairy god mother, can anyone else help? i can give a bit of rent money and help you out with anything you need help with in return.

Have you thought of putting a card up in the local newsagents, Homebase etc?
You might just find someone with a garage they aren't using who wants a bit of cash.
Years ago I found one behind an old house that had been converted into flats for not much a month.
HTH. Cheers, Pewe

When I needed a garage I went to the local council and they had hundreds of lock-ups going unwanted. Cheap as chips. No power but 18v power tools are quite handy (shame you can't get a 18v welder )....

Went round a fellow locoster the other night and he was building his car in tent. Also he had no lighting in there and had to work via torchlight after dark!!!!! If you have a garden perhaps it might be a idea.

Hobart do a battery welder,Trek 180 but it's not going to be cheap.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

unfortunately, SWMBO is a photographer and often uses our garden as a location for her shoots. i get a proper beating of there are more than 4 leaves visable on the lawn let alone a tent/gazebo containing rusty bits of car
