WTD - bonnet scoop/bulge with a return
Why does it always have to be sooooo difficult?
I want an MK style bonnet scoop that is -
A- actually level/flat/straight enough to put on a flat alli bonnet with no rework
B- easy to fix- ie has a return i can rivet through, or fixings in place
I have an MK one, and its steadily turing into a saga to get the damn thing on to an alli bonnet. Its not level, different on each side, so a bugger
to fix to an alli bonnet.
anyone got a recommendation?

yeah send it to me! I have an ally bonnet too. That problem would be considered extremely minor compared to all mine!!

Make one from ali, you should be able to gentle roll it to a similar shape or take a mould and make the alterations to it.
Think about it, think about it again and then do it.

guys... thanks. I think! ;-)
To re-phrase- I have a complete car that I have spent 6 years building.
To be honest, I'm sick of making everything from scratch from scrap metal, yoghurt pots and brown paper. Three times. Then modifying again. And
again.
Its vaguely sunny. I want to drive the damn thing. So, I want a scoop i can buy. Spend an hour fixing on, while drinking beer.
Then go for a drive the next day.

I feel exactly the same way. It only took me less than 3 years to feel that way too, not 6. At least you can look forward to putting your car on the
road, and someone can set it all up for IVA if necessary. I can't get mine on the road in this province for a lot of reasons I don't feel
like explaining.
I've spent a month just trying to make an ally boot cover with no success. It looks a mess. I see on here how other people do things, but
can't seem to reproduce any of it. I would buy more things if they were available here.
My, perhaps simplistic, advice, is to get someone over to help do the job.

The car is complete and SVA'd, so i have no problem with the techniques of doing it.
I just dont want to. Simply, i'd rather drive the thing now than spend hours in the garage.
Thats what winters are for....
So, no recommendations?
