WTD: Hubs

Hi,
Don't suppose anybody has any 5 stud granada hubs kicking about that they want rid of? Even better if they have calipers with them, but certainly not essential.
Cheers,
Tom

Yeah, I was probably looking at the same pair - ebay? A rusty old pair for a hundred or a single new one for £160

Turning out to be a right pita.

yeah I was bidding on a pair, but got home to put higher bid in as I realised how hard to find them, and mobile internet was down, it had ended by the time I was back online £21 the pair

theres an RS breakers on ebay that does them for about £100 delivered.

Im going to probably make a pair of adaptors, not the way I wanted to go, but looks like not much choice

you should get the whole car for that

I got 2 whole cars for nowt, I've already sold the spare hubs - sorry
but I do have a set of rusty front calipers (same as sierra's with ABS) which would do as exchange ones

oh, and I've got the granada uprights without the hubs too (but I doubt they are any good to you)

Hi mcerd1, thankyou very much for the offer but thats ok, it's the hub I need rather than the carrier itself, at the moment I'm going to have 5x114.3 rear pcd and 4x108 fronts - should make finding wheels fun

Thanks for the offers of calipers too but I'm not using abs, I have the same/similar calipers but somehow between taking them apart to clean and putting them back together a slider and some other parts have gone walkies! Thanks for the offer though.

I take it you've got a mazda rear axle/hubs then ?

(I might know someone with some granny hubs for sale - will confirm later)

there is nothing special about the ABS calipers - they are just a bit bigger and suit the larger 260mm discs (standard on the granada, XR4 and 4x4's)

if you want to use the standard granada discs its these ones you'll need (granada's all have 260mm discs) and you'll need some 5mm spacers and longer bolts as the offset of the granada discs is different

like this:

btw - the granada hubs are 5x112

Ah ok cool, yeah not far off, its s14a 200sx rear diff, hubs and shaft. Guess I'll be looking for a cheap granada soon then to get the calipers too.

Cheers for the help, if the person you know does have some for sale that would be great. Thanks very much,
Tom

adaptors are looking more and more likely

Yeah I'm after fronts, looking at it may still cause me trouble with the pcd's if I'm to get multifit wheels - perhaps I'm best trying to find a four stud hub that will fit into my rear uprights?

Or get some converters for the front to make them 5x114? Just worried about that for IVA - given how picky they are on other things can't see them letting me get away with spacers/converters.

what about just drilling another set of holes 5x114, if you use granny hubs you could just drill them half way between the existing ones (so none of the horible welding up the old holes)

you'd need to find out what discs you could get and you they'll fit

or better still - you could drill the rears in the same way to suit 5x112 - again you'd need to see what you could do with brakes, but on the rear that could be as simple as getting the discs redrilled the same way as the hubs

only other issue is the centre spigot - but since most aftermarket alloy use plastic spacer rings anyway you'd just need a pair of 63.4mm (ford) ones and a pair to suit the 200sx

That sounds like a lot of hassle, maybe I should just look for some nissan front uprights, hubs and brakes and alter the steering geometry to suit? Or do people using mazda rear end have a different set up? I could always have mismatching wheels??
