R1 5pw clutch plates
Possibly need a set of new genuine yamaha clutch plates.
Where's the best and cheapest place to get some.

Have to say it...Yamaha
I just got a set from my local Yamaha dealer, make sure you get all the plates. If I remember 7 are identical and 1 is differant, my local dealer are
great but another one I called (as they where closed) just kept telling me there are only 7

Missed a brand new oem kit with all 8 plates on ebay for £59 in original bags the other day . Doh !!!!

You can fit all 8 the same rather than 7 of one type then the smaller plate and this gives a stronger clutch for BEC applications.
I ordered some from the states - boats.net but that was when the dollar was stronger.
I got hit my customs but it still worked out cheaper than the UK at the time.

I bought some barnet plates of Ebay. I know people say use genuine yamaha ones but I've never had a problem with them. Mind you i bought the
spring conversion also, makes the clutch feel loads better.

I had a GSXR 600 and changed the clutch.
I used OEM plates to start with and had nothing but problems, so i replaced them with Aftermarket race items, and had no problems at all.
