exhaust fabrication

Hi everyone,

In reference to my other thread

would anyone be interested in some work making me the worlds cheapest kit car exhaust with a cat fitted? I can probably get the original manifold, a cat and a bike can if someone can do some bending and welding to get it to fit?

As this is the worlds cheapest exhaust for use for a day ......

why bend it? Why not just either cut bends from an existing exhaust or have two pipes cut at 45 degrees and welded?

Go to your local exhaust place, explain what your doing and ask if you can give them five quid for 3 or 4 old exhausts the same OD with lots of bends in them. They just scrap them & you should have plenty of steel left over.

If you where more local I'd offer to help next week.

^^ thats what I did but lots of the bigger places wont do this on health & safety in case you cut yourself. Suggest you try the smaller outfits. Then hide the welds with exhaust wrap Cheers Rich

Suspect its more to do with them getting a cut of the steel scrap price ....... then again, i really can see it being a health and safety issue

Suspect you'll have more luck offering tea and chocolate covered dunking snacks than hugs

Have you seen his current exhaust?

Anything else is just to do the job even if it looked beautyfull.

you need to get a move on with your own build, let alone offering to help other people!!!

what was your deadline again?
