im about to stamp my chassis and i want to buy a chassis plate blank, who stocks these?

We made our own from a bit of ally! Stamped it up and painted a border on it...

I did the same - the DVLA man was happy with it (pop-rivetted to the chassis, with some PU sealer behind).

Still had to stamp the number onto the chassis itself, though

....engraved mine with one of them hobby engraver jobs from argos and alike.Doesn't bend the surface.I don't have an ally plate on mine.Didn't cause a problem at sva time..

if you want all the fancey writing and stuff on it like that ford one get someone with laser printer and some ohp film print out the top template stamp the letters no. on it right places them pop rivet the ohp film to the ally plate and onto the chassis works well plus you can get really thick OHP film now.

Another idea is that transfere film they make for deskjets that you iron onto t-shirts you could do the same with the ally plate same priciple as the professionals use. But i would varnish it with some acrylic varnish like halfords sell just to be safe. As deskjet inks a bit fragile.
Plus it cost a lot less then £15
