WTD Ford clutch friction plate.

Greeting fellow LCBers!
I'm hunting for a 240mm friction plate with the 1"(25.4mm)x23 splined centre. It's not for a Ford engine but it is for a Ford type9 'box.
I've found a few on Ebay but they usually come as a kit. I don't want to buy a second hand one off the bay as I've been stung by that before!
I have an Autofactors who can get me a new one but they have to wait for a delivery from the only company they deal with who sells the individual components and they don't know when they will have enough orders to justify the postage!!

Also, am I better buying one from a Diesel fitment or a V6 petrol? The engine it is going on is a 200+bhp V6 but as it's torque that wrecks clutches, would I be better of with a high torque derv fitment or the lesser powered V6?

So. has anyone got one lying around?
TIA, Owelly.

I should have mentioned......I'm on a very tight budget! A new one from my local factors is £20 but I'll have to wait.
Thanks anyway!
