Air rifle, precharged air type, hunting power
I'm on the lookout for a reasonable quality PCP type air rifle, and pump etc etc if poss.
Not a plinking one but one with a decent hunting range, say 50 yds on a fair day.
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion

My bro has a good pre-charged one... can't remember the details, but he'd be keen to move it on.
How much were you looking to spend?
He also has my old Weihrauch HW77 which is going spare.... great gun and will drop bunnies at 50 yards if you put the practice time-in.

Best for the money
Also you will only be able to get a sub 12ft/lbs gun unless you have a fac

I concur with the above, AA S400 or S410 are perfect candidates, but I have a particular soft spot for the HW77 as well LOL, not a precharge, but how
many bunnys do you plan to drop in one sitting?
depending on your ability, I know that they say .22 for hunting, but .177 is safer due to flatter trajectory, better chance of the clean kill, unless
you put in the range time and dial in the distances or know all your hold overs etc
I might be interested in the HW77 depending on price and the OP not wanting it
50 yards is really a bit far, I only like going to about 40 yards with air to be honest, if you got bigger problems with bunnies then, .22lr if the
land is suitable.

I have a Daystate Harrier Pre charge .22 for sale comes with a gold crown scope c/w mounts and air stream silencer, totally silent in use.
also has divers bottle(3000psi) and fill pipe with snap connector.
rifle bag too and home chrono so you can check your not exceeding your 12 ilb limit as this is a full power 12 lb rifle using a heavy pellet you can
exceed the limit.
Rifle has sling mounts in the stock but no sling
Will take some picies later if your intrested, bear in mind this is a proper gun not some cheap SMK piece of crap, new they were often used for FT
shooting.
Gas bottle scope and silencer are worth over £200 alone.

just for the record, if your rifle will exceed 12ft/lb with a heavy pellet, then lower it asap
if its checked by the police then they will use the heaviest pellet that they have!
unlawful posession of a firearm carries a 5 year stint with Bubba as a cell mate, although I dont think its ever been enforced LOL, but best not
become the test case hey

The daystate is set to 11.8 lb the police can only test with the pellets you have on you.
thats the reason I brought a chrono because i was club shooting using magnums and it was hitting 13.2lb
but for bunnies i would use bisley premier of long range gold which hit about 11.9 ish

or you could stop messing around with toys and get a shotgun i have got a 22 that i had when i was a school boy but it hasn't been out for
several years now

I can hit a milk bottle top at 75 yards on a windy day with my daystate, Ive also a Webley Springer .177 thats a litle too naughty but oh so much fun.

shotguns, they are only fun when your putting solid slug through it forget 12ft lb LOL, I got 3800 ft lb at the muzzle with them , .22 semi auto,
.303, .357, .44 and hi capacity semi auto shotguns, them rabbits dont stand a chance round here
just for the record, the police can and will use any commercially available pellet with your rifle if they should wish, in the event of that
happening, DO NOT bend over to pick up the soap, no matter how politely Bubba asks LOL

Tony, I thought that self loading rifles and carbines(semi-automatic) were now illegal, along with hand guns (unless it has a barrel exceeding
12" in length and shotguns having a capacity of more than two rounds.
Unless I missed another change in the law, the above post was to say the least, unwise.
I do however concur with the comments about shotguns and solids. Ah, Remington Wingmaster with extended 11 round mag, the good old days. All gone
now.

nope your mistaken, yes we have to have LBP and LBR, long barreled revolvers and pistols, basically a 12.5" barrel and a small steel bar to take
overall length to greater than 24"
"shotguns" on a section 2 shotgun certificate are allowed up to a maximum capacity of 3, ie 2+1 pumps and semi auto, but if you put them
on a section 1 FAC then your only limit is the length of your barrel LOL, winchester SX3 with 12 shot magazine anyone, will empty that 12 cartridges
in sub 2 seconds!
semi auto rifles and pistols are only legal in .22 calibre.
main use for them is shooting gallery rifle matches, we shoot the old pistol comps, ie police pistol and service B etc etc, but with semi auto .22
rifles, and also with pistol calibre centrefire rifles, .38sp, .44 and 9mm mainly lever action cowboy style, marlins etc, but also more commonly now
are the AR15 platform of rifles, in straight pull or lever release
the stupid thing is that I can still legally own and shoot a 6 shot revolver, but its a muzzle loader?? so I load the cylinder, with powder, press in
the balls, chuck it in the gun, prime the backs and away you go.
some of my competition guns
.44 revolver, will shoot either conical bullets or balls, its more accurate with ball.

Around now i casually drop into conversation that I was asked to train with the British Olympic shooting team at their base in Wolverhampton.
I turned down the offer, I couldn't be bothered with the drive / idea of having to train on a regular basis to do something that was supposed to
be fun.
2012 now makes me think ............. MUPPET!

All this talk of air rifles takes me back to my youth (yes I can remember that far back)
Anyway if anyone has a (legal) spring loader in reasonable condition going locost I'd be interested.
I'd like to let my kids have a go at a few cans / targets in the back yard, her indoors won't approve of the bunnies etc

hmm personally the foxes go into the hedgerow LOL cant say Im all that keen on them, did a hell of a lot of rabbits last year, real bad mixy in this
area
even the deer are over running things also, but I dont have them on ticket and wont shoot them.
