Mini Jet HVLP Gravity Spray Gun Smart Repair on eBay (end time 07-Mar-11 09:31:58 GMT)

is similar to what I use for awkward areas. Small capacity, but should be enough for wishbones, but need refills for the chassis. There are bigger ones on the bay fot not much more (often less) and those cheap guns are not too bad at all

Unless you have a very big compressor in to notch order forget conventional HPLV and HVLP guns.
Look at the spray station type fan blown type HVLP spray set by Earlex and Bosch.

Do a google shopping search on "Earlex HVLP" These units are much easier to use, give virtually zero overspray and a great finish. They are also very economical on paint. Don't confuse these with useless cheap airless spray guns.

I've got one of those little touch up guns in the ebay link above. I was very sceptical when I ordered it, because it was so cheap, and it was bought as a 'throwaway' if it turned out not so good.

Outcome is that it an excellent little gun. Top class work can be done with it, the equal of sprayguns with an extra '0' on the price.

If you've got a compressor, then go for it! That little spraygun will not let you down, and will do a damn sight better job than one of those self powered things will ever do! Well, unless you're spraying latex on your house exterior.

Cheers,
Nev.

I bought the ebay one shown there as a touch up gun and it is a wonderful thing at the price. It runs on 40psi and will run on my 3hp SIP compressor no problem. If you already have a compressor they are worth trying.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I bought one of these little guns for one little job and thought I'd bin it after use. Boy was I surprised at how well it works and it is now resident in the workshop where I usually use a Devilbiss JGA which costs 20 times more!
