Part time car tinkerer and errand runner!
We're on the lookout for somebody who wants the experience of playing with cars, to come and work part time for us on a minimally paid basis,
but obviously who may like to take advantage of the free facilities such as spray booth, sheetmetal workshop, car lift, lathe, welding plant etc etc
etc after hours.
We need somebody who is self motivated, has some experience, and can deal with tasks ranging from basic "gofering" (quite a lot of that)
to answering emails, spreadsheet work, CAD work, to spannering, and then on and up to every job around the shop.
This would not be a full time, properly paid position!! It would be strictly for somebody wanting the experience, or something to do in their
professional "retirement". Hours would be entirely up to the individual, on the basis that any work we don't have to try and cover
is a plus!!
We have appropriate insurance cover for this.
What it would do, bearing in mind the rate at which we are growing as a company, would potentially open the door to a full time job in the future, if
the right person came along.
The pay situation seems a little harsh, but to be honest, I am lucky to pay myself a lot of the time, with the amount of kit we buy each month to grow
the business, and we also seem to attract a lot of willing FOC volounteers, but so far we have not found "the right person"
To get an idea of what we are about, have a look at www.retropower.co.uk
We will also be posting similar on retrorides forum

Sounds like a good opportunity for somebody. You seem to be growing your business successfully - no doubt built on word of mouth and recommendation.
There really aren't many decent resto companies out there and certainly a lot of sharks.
I'd volunteer if I was closer... I'm currently the local MIG/TIG welder and auto electrician for my lotus owning buddies.

Can you move your company to Cambridge??
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards

soon to have an xjr LSD fitted. The only thing we have seen of the car is a video of a massive burnout on a roundabout lol
