Can I borrow an oscilloscope please?

I'm getting spikes in my RPM signal as reported in the MSL log file by TunerStudio, and I'd like to use an oscilloscope to see if it is coming from :-
1) Crank sensor
2) Noise between CS and EDIS
3) EDIS
4) Noise between EDIS and MS
5) Somewhere else.

Has anyone in Beds/Herts/Bucks/Essex area got a scope I could borrow please? Otherwise I'm off to eBay....

Regards,
Dave

I'd actually prefer a PC based scope, but £125+ for something I'll probably only use once is a bit sphincter clenching. I'm tight

If you draw a blank we have a redundant one but probably won't get near for a few days, not sure how well it would travel though

Dont forget to check for voltage spikes on the power feeds as well.

Good Luck

I have small scope I could lend you. It's in North London near Alexandra Palace.

Thanks for the offers. In the end I found one that plugs into the laptop that offers reasonable bandwidth and voltage tolerance out of the box (i.e. I don't have to buy a bunch of extra probes on top) for not an extortionate amount of money. Hopefully by the time I get back from holiday it'll be waiting for me. If it is, and it works, and it's good, I'll make it available for loan.

Regards,
Dave
