battery!

Im just about to start some progress with my wiring and as advised, I should test each bit along the way. I dont want to fork out for a brand new battery and have a good battery go flat so has any one got an old battery with a little life in so I can use to test me electrics?

Needs to be fairly local and I can collect. I travel around with work so ideally anything in Beds, Bucks, Herts, Cambs, Norfolk, Suffolk, bit of Essex and Peterborough up to lower Lincolnshire.......

Thanks

Andy

Why not phone local scrappy or "end of life vehicle dismantlers" as they prefer to be known nowadays- up here a battery is a tenner obviously at that price it only comes with a couple of days guarantee but they are worth £4 scrap anyway,
Alternatively get a booster pack which is always handy and you can recharge it and use it when your car is built and.... err won't start

A mate of mine in Stevenage has got loads of good secondhand batteries. What size do you need and i'll ask what he's got, I gave him a tenner for mine and it's been fine for over a year now.

I have a couple in the shed. Not sure of their condition.

Yours for the taking.
Located just off A428 at the Cambridge end.

I can check them out in the week, ie put on charge and see what gives!

Cheers

If all your doing is testing a transformer will do it.

I use a 12v LCD telly transformer for my electrolysis system and have used that i the past for testing circuits.
