WTD. low level wet sump for redtop

As title.

need low level wet sump for vauxhall c20xe redtop, like the ones from SBD or QED with pick up pipe.
Have you got one lying in the back of the garage.

Andy.

Thanks mate.

What bits do you need, as ive got odds and sods all over?

If you need the exhaust then give me a bid, i can always say yes or no.

It fits the Avon perfectly. I would have paid heavily for something like this when i was building mine as Tiger dont do anything for the Redtop install as you probably know

Best bet is to get a steel sump from an 8 valve version (easier to weld) then cut it down - this is what I did - pics in my photo archive. Another (expensive) alternative is a big wing sump like this one I just found on the EEE bay.....Opel Manta / Escort Mk2 Big Wing Sump For Red Top Conversion | eBay.

I have a short, baffled one that someone on here made, but it weeps oil from two or three places under the joining flange where the welding has pinholes - I went back to my own after getting fed up with little puddles!

Cheers for the advice steve, but i dont have the welding equipment, have thought about getting someone to do it for me, but not sure of the best route to go, which is why i'am hoping to see if there is one spare anywhere.

have a 8v sump on at moment so could take it off and get it modified.

just prefer the easier option of a ready made one.

Tell you what - that looks a bargain at £75 - they are pretty overpriced at £336 from westfield - sump

Still, if you are trying to stick to the £250 budget......

Don't want to burst your bubble mate but I tried fleabay for 2 years to get a sump like that. they never made less than £200.
I finally got one on here for 170 ish IIRC but they are few and far between TBH. I made a steel one but could never get rid of the oil surge issue ( and it looked just like the alloy one as well ).
Good luck. Try him with a buy it now I doubt it'll stay below 150 quid.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Good find there M8, did a search but didn't find that one, have made an offer but not holding out much hope, will keep an eye on it.

Cheers Andy
