Old computer hardware?
Having been sent into the loft for the Christmas decorations I've been rummaging through my collection of retro computer hardware which has
rekindled my interest in it all and had me trawling eBay for a few hours this evening. I'm sure some of you must have old hardware gathering
dust up in your lofts which you'd love to get rid of, so how about making a New Year's resolution to clear the space and donate it to me?

By 'old' I'm talking 80's and 90's (or earlier?) computer (as opposed to console) hardware. I have no interest in your
'old' PC!
I'm particular interested in Acorn and Commodore kit, regardless of cosmetic condition or whether it works or not. Worst case, it could be a
good source of spare parts.
Happy to cover postage of course, and of course would consider paying for rare or desirable parts, but keep in mind this is a very casual hobby so
I'm not looking to spend huge sums.
So, over to you lot.... What have you got lurking in the loft?

Hi Chris, - I've got an old Acorn Atom.
Pretty sure it is non functional and the "R" Key is broken.
You can have it for your collection if you want.
Doug.

Doug.
I have a some spare key springs for an Atom.
Dont have any key caps though.
I just checked and put my hand straight on them... not bad after storing them for 30 years!
I have a BBC-B
Howver its NOT your ordinary Beeb.
Its for a Torch Z80 second processor (NOT the Beeb one)
and the Torch 1200 bit modem
And the SASI Disk interface for Hard drives (ONLY works but no hard drives as it needs hard drives with the dual cables -VERY old ones)
Also got two shoeboxes 5.25" floppies. Most of the software that was written for the Torch.
Got the same for the BBC, and about 30+ Roms to go on the 16 way rom board which is also fitted with additional Ram.
Also got a Microvitec Hi-Res colour monitor. Cost a fortune in those days!
Had a lot of fun with it.
Even had it connected to my Radio to recieve and transmit data!
was a lot of fun!

My dad has a BBC B with very similar spec, though it has an 8086 second procesor so it could run DOS and old PC programs. I think he has a BBC
Master as well.
I have a Dragon 32, a 64k TRS80 with disk drive (very similar computer to the Dragon), a couple of ZX81's, a Commodore Plus/4 and a Commodore 16
(both quite rare as they never sold well) but I don't want to part with them.

Hi Doug
I'd certainly be interested in an Atom. I've got a mint electron in original box, and a BBC B (aka Proton) that did work but needs some
TLC. An Atom, if I could get it working, would complete the early end of the Acorn history. Would you be prepared to box it up for me so I can send a
courier, Doug? Happy to send you a couple of 'virtual' beers for yor trouble.
A 'donor' B (or A) would be nice to find to hopefully breath some new life into my existing one. I'm sure getting mine running
won't be difficult, it's more cosmetic TLC that mine needs. I would however like a Master or even a Master Compact if anyone has one they
want rid of.

I've got an Amiga 600 with an extra floppy drive and joysticks. I bought it circa 1991 so I'm guessing it fits the bill.

I've got an A600, but if it's going in the bin otherwise I'll take it off your hands. I think mine has a couple of missing keys,
actually.

I've got a Spectrum 128k +3 all boxed up with a bunch of cassette games but I'm guessing you won't want to pay the price I want.
Sorry for the useless post, but it's worth a try at dangling the carrot.
