Pinto into Locost
Just had many replies on a topic I posted -x flow heads. Really good feedback but clearly putting me off tuning a 1300 x flow. No problem with that.
Just so happens I've got a rebuilt 2.0 Pinto engine in the garage. So -
Is it the done thing to put a Pinto into a Locost? Is is possible/wise? And
Will it bolt onto a 1300 gearbox (with or without a modified bell housing). If not, does a type 9 fit a Locost?

All ford gearboxes fit all ford engines upto and including Zetec
The Pinto was mated to the 4 and 5 speed type 9 so easiest to fit
Yes a pinto will fit a Locost but depending on what model you may find little niggles such as Pinto engine is taller and a bit longer

Thanks for the advice. Don't know why I put this topic on "wanted" so I'm going to transfer it to "engines" . Once
again, thanks.
