WTD: Zetec sump

I guys,

I'm after a shortened sump for a 2.0 blacktop zetec.
Anyone got one they don't need?

Failing that I'm after the standard alloy one from the blacktop so I can work on it without having to butcher it on the car.

Regards
Andy

The bottom bit on the Blacktop is steel, not alloy.

Oh, thought it was all alloy, is it just the top piece?

Craig, could be an option, is the silver top a straight swap for the blacktop sump?

Just pull yours of and cover with a clean towel and wrap in plastic and crack on

Chop the hell out of the alloy bit.

Left with.

Cut it down to 150 mm

Extend the sides and baffle the bit that's no longer the bottom.

Plate the bottom and weld up.

Modify the pick up pipe.

And make sure its oil tight

I shortened mine like big_wasa has shown - it was pretty easy to do.

If you want to have a go at chopping the bottom bit without taking your car off the road let me know as I have a spare, so you could chop that then let me have your old one back when you swap them over.

I didn't remove the ally bit from the block to chop it when I did mine.
