Wanted: Tablet or iPad
As per title, I'm in the market for Tablet or an iPad - has anyone got one they want to sell ? Or advice on which one to get please.
I don't want to pay a kings ransom, but willing to pay a fair price.
Mainly for surfing but good functionality would be welcome.
Cheers
Rob

The 7" versions of the Acer Iconia and Asus Memo pad both come at between £87 and £99 from Argos.
The Acer is good but a a little thicker than the Nexus 7 2012 model battery life on the Acer is good.
You can get cheap tablets from the.e likes of Morgan Computers but beware they usually don't have Google play store support.
You will also find BlackBerry tablets cheap from Morgan but they are now discontinued and lack apps.

No where near the current Nexus 7 or even the 2013 version closer to but still lower spec than the 2012 version of the Nexus which can be picked up
new for less money than the £120 Hudl.

If you've got some time to waste go to mobiletechreview.com for plenty of video reviews and comparison videos.
Nexus 7's are usually a safe bet. Hudl is OK and better value used with double Tesco points. However for example the camera is abysmal and
couldn't even capture a bar code clearly enough to identify an item!

I use my 2013 nexus as well as the hudl. Can't see a difference myself. I sure if I played a 3d game or edited a movie I might. But in my
opinion the average user who surfs the web and plays candy crush will not.
In my opinion tablets are for light use I.e surfing, Facebook, internet banking. You don't need the latest graphics card or processor for this.
Decent games are crap on tablets, buy a console. Cameras on tablets/phones are crap, the apature is just not big enough, buy a camera. You want to
edit photos/videos buy a PC.
Cheap tablets are the future, even Apple agrees which is why the iPad mini was released even though Steve jobs said apple would never release a
smaller tablet.

Thanks everyone.
I'm still as confused as ever - I've been all over the internet and it's just confused me even more - there is so much choice.
So what do we think to
Nexus 7
vs
Ipad or Ipad Mini
vs
Asus Memopad
vs
A N Other
Thanks

Utterly depends on what you want it for. Do you want to do some casual surfing or something more serious like playing 3d games.

I have a 2012 Nexus 7(32gb) which I managed to get from the bay for £63 with a case included, work great and cost me a fraction of the price of new.
Seller had a good reputation too.
There are tens for sale every day on there so you can pick and choose. Just make sure the description says working and no cracked screen. Screen and
digitiser can easily be replaced but are about £49 for new items so you need to factor that in if you buy a broken one.

Ordered the iPad and Apple TV from John Lewis's on Bank Holiday Monday - arrived today - impressive service.
I got them from there because you get 3 years warranty for free on electrical stuff.
Pleased with my final decision - iPad is very slick in operation and Apple TV makes it even more useable, along with my iPhone and wife's iPad.

Wasn't that bad actually - and sometimes you've just got to pay for quality.
I'm not an Apple fiend despite what it might look like.
