Cars been built around a 1600 pinto Tom so I was looking at something that would be a straight swop out.

Tom,
If you're breaking the car and have the steering column headstock I could use it - name your price.
The switch lugs and steering lock are totally broken on mine (from an 89 F 2L Auto Estate).

John.

I've got a 2.0 pinto available, BUT its out of a Sierra P100 and hence is the low compression engine. Does have all the ancilliaries though
(except clutch) and comes with its type 9 gearbox.
It does have the 205 block and an unleaded head so would be a good basis for a rebuild (if you wanted to fit the high compression pistons and a
different profile cam.)
I was told, though, by a stock car racer, that they fit the 1600 head to the 2.0 as this gives a higher compression ratio!
Other main problem, is of course, location.
I'm down in sunny Devon which is obviously quite a ways from you!
Looking for £50 for the lot.
P.S.
I also have a spare 1.8 pinto available as well.
Cheers,
Andy.

andy,
your more than welcome to have any bits off the car - its a PAS model, but that shouldnt be a problem.
is all you want the upper end of the column?
im going home (chester) this wknd so can remove it then, and bring it back to bristol if thats any easier than posting??
cheers,
tom
