Wanted - services for small welding and lathe jobs near to Glasgow
I've got a couple of minor welding and machining jobs that I'd like to get done in the next week or so. I used to go to Douglas at West
Garage Engineering for this type of stuff, but I see from his website that he's now retired.
The work involves:
- A couple of welds on a new exhaust bracket that I've fabricated.
- Turning down a couple of mm from a pair couple of helper spring seats.
All in all, it's probably an hours work or so. Anyone local-ish to me that could do this sort of stuff?

Hi
I am the same, looking for a welder please for a few jobs in Central/SW Scotland (Ayrshire, but would travel as far as Fife, Perthshire as well as
Central Scotland and Ayrshire etc.
Daftly I did not get myself organised at the end of last year when Douglas said he could fabricate a decent height rear roll cage to MSUK Sports Libre
spec for my Locost. doH! Also need some seat belt mounts and roll cage mounts welded into my Austin Healey Sprite.
Anyone out there please? Sounds like between us we could get at least a half days work together (and longer if they could do a rear cage).

You could try Martin at Ayrshire mini & metro centre near Kilmarnock.
