Those wheels....
Nice wheels - BUT - we're convinced what happened wouldn't have happened with smaller wheels though. IMHO

I think a lot of people still run high pressures as well as tall tyres .
My 15" TSW /yoko' set up were much better once I'd taken 10 psi out of them.
I would definately not go bigger than 15" ,with no weight on the back end and a greasy road you might as well run on the rims for the grip
you'll get.
Everyone seems to forget these cars are under half of the weight of a road car,and usually a fair bit more on the horse power
side of things, once they start going on the back end they're 3 times harder to get back, and not many of us are good enought to drive race cars
for a living no matter how quick we think we are.
17" look the biz but the sidewalls just aint tall enough to flex!
Last week to proove the point I took one of the mechanics cars (T bar MR 2)from work for a spin last week after he had put 17" rims on.
It completely ruined a good car!
It was unpredictable ,understeer then violent oversteer with very little feeling or control in between.
The week before the car was a joy to drive with controlled drifting on the limit and much better steering and feel.
The result on an even lighter car ???.
If you want to enjoy your car take note of people like Hellfire etc,he's got the T-shirt and is trying to tell you something..
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

Oh yes I forgot,I have some 4X4 front calipers if you need some for exchange, one has a damaged seal I think but they could be rebuilt or exchanged,I
think you'll already know that the 4x4 are not four pots like cossy ones and are bloody heavy compared to other sierra/escort types.
I've just used standard front vented sierra type which use the same calipers as XR 3's etc,and 4X4 disc set up at the rear, these will do
till I can afford some alloy four pots.
All the best DEAN....
