yellowbox doobery
problem- im gonna be having a transaxle in my car so cant have a spinny sensor thing to send the speed to my speedo, and think the mid mounting of the
egine will be too far for the mechanical one to be used, but i can use one of those mechanical to electronic gizmos, but then the speedo i have at the
moment is non adjustable so what i need is one of those yellowbox thingies that changes the signalto the speedo to correct it. i had a link to buy one
direct but lost it.
so what is wanted-
firstly if anyone has a yellowbox they dont want ill ave it!
or the link to buy one from the manufacturer?
Cheers,
Russ.

Hi Russ
Could you use an electronic and stick magnets to the rear wheel rim ?

cheers lads, ill order one from black robotics then.
not a bad idea ady, hadnt thought of that. ill most likely be using nice shiny split rims though so dont fancy sticking magnets to em, plus the other
way is better cos ill not have to plug the mechanical speedo output on the tranny!

Fair enough, but the speed sensor and magnets is only £16 from greenguages, and the magnits are only about 6mm round

still gonna need the yellowbox doobery tho, cos me speedo still int adjustable. unless i buy an adjustable one, then id be able to do as yo say, but
then thinking about it i could put the magnets on one of the driveshafts.

Buy a Speedohealer - more range and cheaper with an equivalent guarantee. Now also has a built in maximum speed thingy...

cool, managed to find a yellowbox for 50 squids, but the healer does look better so ill go for that one i think.
anyone know if the mechanical to electronic converters that europa spares does is suitable for this or should i get a spinny magnet dooahee for my
driveshaft?
Cheers,
Russ.
