Adhesive tape

Anyone know if its possible to get a tape roll width (25mm?) of the self adhesive plastic used to make wheel arch stone chip protection in clear, or locost yellow?
I'm thinking of using it to mount my bonnet/scuttle/bodywork joints, to pad them and stop them scratching together without using black foam rubber tape.
But I could be barking up the wrong tree, or just barking

We use clear PU tape, made by 3Ms, I suggest looking on their web site

Thanks, I know what to look for , but can't find any now.
I think its probably bought in specially from 3m for orders and not stocked, or bought to "convert" to customers spec.
Anyone know where I might get 1 small roll?

I could use some of this as well - currently I don't have any protection on the front of my rear wings.
I know I could fit metal protectors, but I like the look of the car as it is now.

You can get it by the foot, I will probably use this too. Its an expensive way of getting a bit 1/2" wide and 4 foot long!
