Wanted Mk2 Escort Brake Master Cylinder

After designing my pedal box around a non servo Mk2 escort tandem m/c i've discovered that the one I have is unserviceable.

Has anyone got a good one they could sell me?

Cheers
Gary

I don't have one, but exchange reconditioned ones are still available from motor factors. I was quoted £63 inc VAT fairly recently.
A set of seals to rebuild one will be about £15.

Thanks for the reply David.

I've tried some local autofactors with no joy. Which ones did you try?

Cheers

I gave up on my Escort Master cylinder when i found you have to have dual circuit, and that was after i got a cap that had a level sensor in it.

My local Factors is Southern Motor Factors in Bromley, they have helped for most bits i have had. Well have used them all trough my trade life, well all 9 years so far.

????

What's wrong with Escort jobbie?
It is dual circuit - split front to back. I don't think diagonal split is required.

I read somewhere that it needed to be diagonal split, so gained a servo and master cylinder from breakers we used when i worked for Suzuki. Nice little sqat one from Suzuki Ignis.

The Escort one i got has one pipe to each front and one pipe to rear, then splits on Rear Axle.

TBH, I don't know of a Locost with diagonally split brake circuits. The Sierra, I think, is front to back split, which is what most 7 types use.
