Aluminium Checkerplate
I need / want some thin 2mm? ally checkerplate to cover the footwells and make them a bit less slippy.
Any clues where I can get some at a reasonable price in the East Midlands, even if I have to buy a big bit and sell the rest?
Ther is some on ebay but postage is prohibitive and B+Q would break the bank and my heart

Thanks chaps.
Will need 2 pieces about 440 x550mm and 2 about 440 x 220mm.
Thinner the better I suppose, 1.2 -2mm just to save weight.
Could do with it NOW obviously, but may keep till next week as I am going to Newark, though my mate Wil, may get upset about me using his tiger as a
van

hey, Col, if we can drive back down the M69 with you holding on to a nose cone for dear life, a piece of aluminium sheet will be a breeze (just hope
there isn't too bigger one !)

Sorry I've not got enough of that for you.
You could try Baco metals.

To confound me further, ive just called a couple of local suppliers......
1 will supply me the sizes ready cut for £32 inc vat.
2 will supply me a whole sheet 2.5m x 1.25m for £65 inc vat
1 is convenient, 2 is approx 5 times what I need for only twice the price

It's price fluctuates hourly - depends on the world value
... that and the price of bread.
