English diff - 3.54 or less?

Anyone with a 3.54 English diff available for sale?

Ideally LSD
Ideally recently serviced, quiet etc...
Ideally a custom ratio lower than 3.54 - 3.1/3.2 etc.

Any combo of the above considered.

Cheers
Paul

An English diff higher than 3.54?

My guess is one of these is going to be big coin. ...Try Gartrac or Fostek.

Don't tell us you've got a CBR1000F...
That or a V8?

yes... a Fireblade 918 that screams it's n*ts of at 70mph... but it is fun getting to 70...

A local (Central belt of Scotland) motorsport dealer is looking for customer crownweel and pinions for me, he suggested that race engines rev to 10k so a low 3.x should be available... but finding one is another matter...

I have sourced a standard rs1600 3.54 diff from another forum, which will give me a cruising speed of 70 at around 6900/7000rpm... but would prefer a custom ration and an LSD

Anyone hens teath or pigs with wings around?

Cheers
Paul.

Hi all custom ratios for the english diff went the other way Ie high 4's low 5's for the rally lads. To my knowledge no one makes a custom low 3 ish diff for the english axle and to have one properly made as a one off would not be anything like economical there was people on about getting together to do a bulk order but nothing ever came of it.

cheers matt

(edit to say) Your only other option would be to fit the baby atlas axle with the capri diff in which is available with low 3 ratio. But the weight of the axle would mean that in a BEC the car would never handell correctly and you would never get the rear dampers/spring combo to work on a car of that weight.

To be honest, if you want a higher ratio diff for an English axle it may be worth reviewing your rear suspension setup entirely and going for a Freelander diff? There's not a chance in hell of getting anything higher than a 3.54 as procomp says, so you can either change the back end or fit bigger wheels (but who would want more than 13" anyway? )!

I'm quite happy with my R1/3.54/13" wheel setup - it does 80 (on private roads of course) at just over 7500 rpm and tops out just below 125mph - what more do you need?

The only problem with using 13" wheels is if you have a sierra disc rear brake system - 13" wheels won't fit ( ).

Boy is this kitcar stuff good fun...

Still stupid, but learning fast...
