wanted 4x4 7 style kitcar
looking for a 4x4 with a cosworth engine maybe, i have seen them in a dax, i have had an indy r1 but would prefere something that i havn't got
to knock the bollox out of everytime i hit a main road, would love a 4x4 indy but have never seen one, would prefere a finished example please

MNR are shortly to be making a 4x4 car i heard...
Maybe they will build one for you if you pay them nicely
4x4 dax is gonna rush <pun intended> you best part of £25k

Dax AFAIK are the only makers of a 4x4 7-type kitcar, but you can buy a pre buit one from 12.5k...... Theres a couple on pistonheads.com at the
mo...

Out of interest, how come you particularly want a 4x4?
There's plenty of big power cars that cope well without it!

Dax spent the best part of an hour telling me how much better off I'd without 4x4 (when I'd just started looking for a kit)
and that if I wanted to go fast I should get a BEC - I said I was looking for a bit more of a road car they said 2wd V8 or modern 4pot was the
answer
The 4x4's are alot heavier and have higher transmission losses and as a result can be slower round the track than the equivelent 2wd car
then I was taken out in the V8 demo car to see just how much grip the 2wd car had
(And like most people I ignored this good advice and got a pinto 2wd )

there are a couple of us on here building 4wd sevens mine has a single turbocharged 4.0litre v8 and i based on a modified indy chassis ,go and buy a
dax if you want one as they are a pain to build and the dax kit is sorted to bolt together with all the transmission mods done for you

thanks guys, for your replies,
after reading that i think i'll save my money and stay with 2wd, v8 or type r honda, actually mine was never short of grip, and yeah grea gimme
a shout when you get that westy rolling
