Crossflow dipstick

I bought my engine has a basket case, and just realised that the dipstick is missing! Bit of a long shot, but someone may happen to have one lying around. It's a 1600 xflow from a Mk2 Escort (rear bowl sump). Beer tokens via paypal, bank transfer or cheque etc.

why not just make one?

bit off rod, file two groves, rubber bung on the end and bend a handle.

I'm sure the guys on here will give your the dimensions.

Thanks! I could make one I suppose, providing I can find something that fits tightly into the dipstick tube and is oil resistant.

Hi be aware that the 1300 and 1600 are different oil height dimenssions so make shure you are using a 1600 one.

Ford did not always put the right one in the right engines either. Check the part number on the stick BA is 1600 AA is 1300 just like the engine blocks.

cheers matt
