desparate for a tow ball

went to pick up a small trailer and found the hitch socket was approx. 38mm not the regular 50mm.Anyone got one or is it so old its 1.5"

You could try the period and classic caravan club (google vintage caravans or sim.). They help with older restorations. Just looked through Indespension & Towsure cats. and they're all 50mm. Also agricutural suppliers may help Lister Wilder at Swallowfield and Oakes Bros in Reading. Cheers, Pewe

Its an old 1/12" ball , common in the sixties !Best of luck finding one

You can still get the old 2" ones but not the 11/2" ones. Try fitting a newer coupling?
