ESAB Compact 125 Tig Welder

I managed to get an ESAB Compact 125 Tig welder from a company that were closing down and I know that although it's old it had always worked very well.

I did a bit of practice OK but the following day couldn't get it to run properly.

When I press the trigger the welder doesn't always start and the wire feed seems to be having trouble pushing the wire down the harness.

I suspect it needs a clean and overhauld but trouble is I don't have a manual and am not sure how the harness can be removed from the welder and how to clean the wire feed.

If anyone has a manual or could suggest how to sort this it would be much appreciated.

John.

Sorry, yes it's a Mig not a Tig. (Wishful thinking perhaps!)

Feed problems are often due to a kinked liner. You replace the liner quite easily - www.welder.co.uk keep stock of various parts so give them a try.
It is very important to coil the torch hose carefully - not too tight.
