WTD: M5 x 0.5mm Bolt (where from???)
Ok I've established that the R1 idle control screw is a seemingly rare M5 x 0.5mm thread.
Can anyone suggest where I might get a bolt (35 or 40mm cap-head)? I've emaliled Namrick - any other ideas?
Thanks

Not doubting you but... Are you sure...??
M5 x 0.8 is the common size, M3 is the usual culprit for 0.5 pitch.
Search for Micro Screws online - it may bring something up.

if I leave home early so that my local fasterner place is still open, I''ll pop in - any material - bzp would be the most likley but I can
ask for stainless if you want. will a normal bolt head do? you could cut a slot in the head.

I would be inclined to run an M5 tap through it and use a standard thread.

M5 x 0.5 is std ISO metric fine, you shouldnt have much trouble getting a bolt if you go to a decent hardware/nuts and bolts supplier.

Thanks for the replies.
Any material would do and any 'head style' would be fine - although I'd prefer cap-head.
I'm reluctant to mess with the carbs unless it's strictly necessary.
Thanks again.
