Pinto water pump
As per title. anyone got a good condition Pinto water pump lying around all unloved and in need of a new home?

Get a new one, they are cheap and not worth the trouble of scrounging.

Seem to remember Bob telling me they were only about a tenner new.
What I did notice was a big difference in the 'resistance' when spinning by hand a new over old. By how many BHP is a free spinning pump
worth?

Well to 'spin' the one I took off last night you need a vice and a hammer! So I guess a new pump is worth it!

Well to be fair, the new one was the stiffest one of 3 that I have!
The cast steel original donor car one was free-spinning but heavy.
So I went for a compromise and used the ali bodied scrapyard (Capri) one that was a bit stiff but much lighter!
