I fitted a Nippondenso alternator of a Daihatsu on my Tiger but that had a Zetec fitted. It was approx 2/3rds the size of the Lucas alternator that
Tiger use as standard and having helped a mate with his Pinto Cat last week recon it will be an easy fit if you can weld up some suitable mounts
yourself.
Quick look on ebay found this

That's what I had in mind - A Nippon Denso from a breakers for about £25 - but they seem like hen's teeth.
I'm not paying £100 off ebay on principle. The principle being I'm mean.
Can you remember what car yours came out of?
Thanks very much for your interest.

Its a good few years now but from memory mine came off a HiJet van but as mentioned the Charade one is perfect. I filled out a couple of the national
parts finder sites and got an alternator at a sensible price within a couple of hours.
