acme or butress threads
Anyone know a good source of acme or butress threads?
Looking for some lengths a meter or longer. Holding about 250 kilos each. Square would be fine but I hear they are dearer.

You could try getting hold of a couple of lathe leadscrews. I have also seen lengths of thread on ebay under the guise of leadscrew...
Rgds.

Op Nuts and lift screws from a Laycock Coranation Car lift would fit your spec plus a large saftey margin --- new Nuts are about 60 quid each getting
hold of screws is the difficult bit.
