1.0 1.6mm ss welding rods

anyone got a couple of 1.0/1.6mm stainless arc welding rods going spare?

I,ve welded your sump now so will through a couple of rods in the bag.

I wanted to weld a very small patch onto a stainless exhaust that had grounded. One weekend I was dragged around IKEA and bought a cheapo whisk (68p I think) with stainless whisky bits. I cut these off and straightened them to use as rods. They worked perfectly despite being unknown Chinese composition. The welds haven't even discoloured to this day.

on the subject of exhausts,i have 2 pipes i need to join together tho not weld.
i have some ally tube,its only about 0.5mm wall thickness but a good fit as a sleeve,would this stand up to being fitted pre and post cat?
