Argon bottle anyone?

Does anyone have a Boc Argon bottle kicking about they want to sell? I'm having a nightmare getting hold of one without signing up for an annual charge.

Thanks

Jason

Slightly confused mate as even if you turn up with a bottle they won't refil it without you having a contract with them.

also you would be buying something from someone that in fact does not belong to them, depite the ridiculous charges the bottle still belongs to BOC you only rent it.

well there is method in my madness.. I read the Boc contract the other day and it says that if I return the bottle empty within the 12 months then I will get a refund of the rental charges. So if I buy a bottle of someone, then rent a bottle of the same size, I can then return the one I bought empty the day after and all I have paid for is the fill of gas and the bottle I bought of someone.

Not fair on Boc but I don't think their terms are fair on the occasional user like me.

Surely for the occassional user, that will end up costing more than the rental charge?

Do a search on here, there are some suppliers who can supply gas to the occasional user for more realistic prices.

As I recall there was one on the Wesh border & one in Kent and possibly a third.

Someone who knows will probably be along to confirm the names.

Thanks for that, I have looked at the adams gas route and its not cheep. You have to pay for the bottle, pay for delivery and collection and the gas ain't cheep in their bottles. Also they only hold about 10 of the little things.

Dave,

sound great news to me.

I am in kenilworth right next to the Stoneleigh kit car show but I could send a courier to pick it up.
