We use Toshibas at work....have very few problems with the latest models.
Most issues seem to be down to user error....
I know, for buisness customers, if the laptop goes faulty and has to be returned for repair, they will repair the laptop for you and also give you
your money back....says a lot about the quality of the product!

No experience with Tosh, but my HP Compaq has been bombproof over the 4 years I've had it. Used for 8-10 hrs a day 6 days a week and then by
the wife in the evenings/weekends too.
