GoPed
.....anyone got one in there garage/shed collecting dust? I want one as paddock transport. As all the good wanted adverts say, 'cash
waiting!'

Haven't seen one of those for ages.
A friend and I once made some drunken plans to acquire a GoPed each and do a sponsored Lands End to John O'Groats trip.
Needless to say it never happened, but we still talk about from time to time

Dont forget to take out some 3rd party insurance in case you have an accident.
Remember that most places are considered (in law) as a public place. Whilst you dont legally require it for a GoPed, its a wise precautiuon.
You can do a lot of damage with one. ie knock a kid over and break their leg or arm or worse still. Or swipe a car and scratch the door / panel.
The costs or repair or legal damages would be a lot.
Best be safe to yourself and others.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
Best Regards

Already considered that and discussed the idea of fitting a single legged bar stool for rider comfort
(cue the pictures of the real motorised bar stool)

I have one that I bought and realised that is wasn't really any good for much. We wizzed up and down the street on it and then put it in the
shed. I think it's still there.
What sort of money are you offering?

I think if you had a crash the best thing would to just flee
I have a strange hankering for getting a horse to ride around on...god knows why, I've only been on a horse about 3 times and the last time it
'broke down' and refused to move so I left it in its mood, came back later and it was still standing in the same spot, dimwitt. Must be
watching too many cowboy films. Would be fun I'm sure but I think there a lot of work, my cousin had one and all it did was throw her off and
injure her but it was a grumpy git.

I had one for 2 years until I had an accident.
Flat out I hit a deep drain and flipped face first onto the road.
I broke my nose, put my teeth almost right through my lower lip and broke my left little finger.
To top it all, my mate who picked me up had a bmw which had a faulty boot lid that sometimes opened by it's self.
I lost the go-ped while I was in casualty!
If you buy one, wear a helmet and gloves. I was lucky with a broken finger as I was wearing 3m cycling gloves. The doctor said I was lucky not to
"de-glove" my hand. That is where all of your skin comes off your hand like a glove.

erm yip thats quite a crash to have on a toy scooter. Looking at it most crashes would be face first, better off with a mountain bike I think

I've just binned 2 of these I had lying around.
Kept the engines & wheels for a future project, though...
