Depends on the quality of the second hand one IMHO.
Does it have a steel end plate?
Is it running straight and true?
Is it setup or does it need setup to the correct torque?
Has it any visible damage?
If you do go for the new one you'll find it better at slow tight onroad corners as it does allow the wheels to rotate seperately. It IMHO and
experience a great advantage off of the line in the dry. BUT it does not seem (again IMHO) to be so good in the wet as the plate one. In facrt we
commented this to quaiffe at the 2003 autosport show and they did say we were not the only ones to comment on this.
If it was me i think I'd go for the new one unless you can get the second hand one for a couple of nights and get someone ( who knows what to
look for ) to look at it first
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
